We’re taking back Park City!
Change is coming… and it's me!
I'm just a local guy that wants to serve “YOU".
In my private life I have housed over 4,500 seasonal workers. In my public service life, serving acting as your planning commissioner, I helped to negotiate 208 affordable rental units at the new Studio Crossing development.
Both of these achievements were done with ZERO tax payer dollars and will now set the standard for solving (senior, seasonal and affordable) housing needs!
Next up JK will bring Transit and Parking Modernization to Old Town! His leadership is proven.
My Plan for Park City
Reduce Traffic with Real Innovation
It starts with remote parking lots on the outskirts of Park City while introducing community shared parking with lots of trolleys and valet service inside of Park City! Then we work with Governor Cox and regional partners to revision transportation connecting to our new circulation patterns inside the city. How about direct access to Bonanza Flats? Add a new modern gondola that would replace the old Townlift and this would make downtown more vibrant year round. How many more ski lunch options would that create? Just walk out the gondola and take the escalator down to Main Street and catch the trolley or an autonomous shuttle. Let’s bring the après-ski vibe back into Old Town!

Fix Housing Without Breaking the Budget
Support successful private affordable developments like Studio Crossing, proving the city doesn’t need to own or subsidize housing to make it work. JK helped to lead this truly affordable and quality of life development for our city’s food & beverage, service workers, first responders, and teachers.
Support Local Workers & Small Businesses
From unaffordable childcare to the ski patrollers’ strike, I’m on the side of the people who live and work here. Recycle Utah’s eviction at the hands of City Hall is unacceptable. On day one, JK will fight to secure a new home for recycling. Being a small business owner, no one will fight like JK.
Reclaim Park City’s Identity
We lost Sundance. We lost Kimball Arts. We’ve lost over 800,000 annual visitors to Main Street. Let’s bring back our culture and stop letting resort operators define who we are. Who’s up for the X-Games? Song Summit, Tour of Utah, Silicon Slopes, National Senior Games? Just saying! We have to use this administration’s abandonment issues and failures as an opportunity for a better future. Transit and parking solutions will be key to bringing the locals and visitors back to town.
In Park City, every vote counts! I only need 1,500 votes to win. Click here to register to Vote!

JK has a proven ability to get things done. Together, we can build a stronger Park City!
“When I think about why I’m running, it comes down to this: I know how to get things done for our community. For the past 16 years, I’ve served as both a public servant and a small business owner here in Summit and Wasatch counties. I’ve sat on the Planning Commission, chaired the HPB (Historic Preservation Board) to protect our historic Old Town District, and led the HPCA (the Old Town Business Alliance) to support our local businesses.
I understand our General Plan, our Land Use Codes, and the process it takes to create meaningful change. I’ve built strong relationships with business leaders and elected officials throughout our region, and I’ve learned that real leadership isn’t about promises – it’s about proven action. I’m ready to put that experience to work on day one, so we can keep our community thriving and preserve what makes it so special.
Let’s work together to protect what we love about this community and build an even stronger future – because with proven leadership, there’s nothing we can’t achieve!”
